594 Double Take
I’ll be showing here again and introducing new sculptures.I’m experimenting in creating movement in figures out recycled vinyl records! I’m excited to show these sculptures and can’t wait to see how they develop after these first couple of works. In these sculptures my muse is movement and dance. Only appropriate in the spirit of records.
Also the painting of my bust will continue in this show. Ideally if this piece was to be sold I would like this to continue to depict interactions. Through every experience can teach something useless that won’t be used for years or a moral that a may followed after that event.

Spine Tingling Exhibition
The other day I went to the Marian Goodman Gallery in New York. The exhibit was a Annette Messager installation that made me think twice about walking through. Once the elevator door opened Cousin It was pulling a Marilyn Monroe. Once I got passed that, there is a room on the left with an impressive installation.
The lighting in the room fit the hanging forms and space of the room. I had to talk myself through walking in this room alone because it feels as if your entering a daunting horror movie scene. Its that scene when I know I should run but instead curiosity takes over. The light flickers about every 20 seconds and large indistinguishable forms sway above. Only as I entered the room did some of the forms begin to make sense and really become interactive.
This was a great installation. I enjoyed and suggest checking it out and experiencing it yourself.

Loft 594
I recently got into my first gallery and was featured in a group show in Brooklyn at Loft 594. The opening show for the gallery was success and there was a lot good energy. I was excited to show and chose to make my work interactive. I encouraged the guests to paint my self portrait and the pedestal. People got really into it and I took a few pictures to share the moment beyond the that night. This the first of series I’m doing my bust since I’ve made a mold of the original I sculpted in clay that turn up in time when you least expect it.

Art as an Experience
Just bought this book today on my lunch break and so far its awesome. Dewey has a good sense of nature and how humans interact in it. The way he connects visual arts is thought provoking. I can’t wait to get further in through the reading and see how it begins to influence my art.
